My life has changed so much that apparently I’m next.
And I can feel it.

Not in a “new year, new me” kind of way. Please.
More like finally letting out the version of me that’s been quietly forming for the last three years.

Because the way I’ve been living doesn’t work anymore.

My circumstances changed.
My priorities changed.
The way I see things changed.
And somewhere along the way, so did I.

I don’t think my job now is to rebuild what I had.

I think I need to build something I haven’t had before.

New ideas. New moves. New ways of doing things.

Do I know exactly what those are?

Absolutely fucking not.
I don’t really know where I’m going yet.
I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for either.

I just know that the way things are now isn’t working for me anymore.

And strangely enough, that doesn’t scare me as much as it probably should.

Maybe because people around me seem to believe in me with an almost irresponsible amount of confidence.

So until mine catches up,

I’ll borrow theirs.

And figure the rest out on the way. 🤠

Never trust sanity just because it has a serious face.
They look serious.
They sound certain.
They have very reasonable explanations.

Impressive though.

So in a world full of madness,
protect your little island of sanity.

And if your island requires a tiny silver outfit and a captain’s hat…
