Watch until the end then explain to us how this got approved. Do better @instagram @meta @mosseri if you're a creator or brand who doesn't add subtitles at all…that's ableist. Period!!!

Happy birthday to us! We didn't want to make some big birthday post just something simple something that actually feels like us. A little nostalgic, the way everything with us usually is. We read a book recently…Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors and one part stopped us completely because it put into words something we don’t think we’ve ever been able to explain to people who aren’t us. It said something like…a sister isn’t a friend, that word feels too small for something this primal. You don’t choose each other, there’s no slow getting to know you. You’re tied together from the very beginning, the way an umbilical cord is tough and unlovely but essential… nothing like a delicate friendship bracelet. That’s it. That’s us. We didn’t choose this, we just are this. Two people who’ve never had to explain themselves to each other, who share a birthday and a face and a whole history that started before either of us could talk. So happy birthday to us. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it but it’s the closest words we’ve got. ♥️
